development of Place Jean Jaurès and the boulevards

Before responding to the development of the Place Jean Jaurès and its boulevards, we carried out a light plan of the city. For this competitive dialogue, it was essential for us to articulate the project with the city and to give it an overall vision. We thus propose to revitalise the commercial link along the boulevards with a wide pavement, lit by pedestrian lighting with shadows projected onto the ground. The central square is covered with carpets of plant shadows on its mineral part, while the tree-lined part hosts games and activities under a light with a village atmosphere. The large poles in the central square facilitate the production of events: sound, festivities, fairground connections.
